So, you’ve heard of Oliver... But have you heard of Olivia?! WPAA are proud to announce Youth Theatre’s Site-Specific, Musical Production, ‘Olivia!’ coming to St Mary’s Church on 19th & 20th December at 6:30pm.
’Olivia!’ is a musical adaptation of Charles Dickens infamous novel, ‘Oliver Twist’, directed & choreographed by Principal, Adlyn Walton. This production will showcase female talent by switching up the stereotypical gender roles within traditional musical theatre.
Adlyn has put the “twist” into Oliver Twist by changing the genders of the well-known characters; the traditionally male-heavy cast will be lead by a female main characters to raise awareness around sexism within our society. Women and girls in the theatre and film industry are all too often type-cast as the same, old “damsel in distress” or “unlucky in love” characters... Well not this time!
The site-specific production will take place in the main Church at St Mary’s. The beautiful, historic building will take the audience back in time to Georgian, London as the cast dance up the isles and fill the space with song through the natural acoustics.
Don’t miss out on this incredible performance! Get your tickets here before they sell out!

Secret Santa Film Premiere
Last year, WPAA Youth Theatre Members starred in ‘Secret Santa’, written, directed, edited & produced by Adlyn, in support of The Childhood Trust & West London Zone. The short film was premiered at ActOne Cinema in December 2023; hosting two screenings, talks from both charities and was followed by The Walton Awards, where YTM won a ‘W’ and gave an acceptance speech.
The young cast of 8-12 year-olds portray the journey of a diverse mix of school-children making their way home during the last week of term. Christmas is around the corner and festivities are in the air but this year, it doesn’t seem as easy to get your hands on the ‘Secret Santa’ present for your classmate. With little pocket money this Christmas, the kids find themselves becoming more satisfied with the simpler things in life.
“The aim is to create an accessible screen performance that captures the magic of Christmas through the eyes of the children, whilst highlighting the impact the cost-of-living crisis has on many families over the winter period. If i can achieve that, whilst raising money for children this Christmas, i’ve done my job.” - Adlyn Walton
West London Zone
“We’d like to say a huge thank you to Adlyn and all of the young people at Walton Performing Arts Academy for supporting West London Zone this Christmas! It’s so generous of you to think of us in the current climate and to put on such a great show, is nothing short of impressive… Thank you for your generous commitment, which will help us to support over 1,700 children and young people in West London this year… With your support, we help the children and young people on our programme to build the relationships, self-belief, and skills they need to get on track socially, emotionally, and academically to take on life positively.”

Adlyn Walton
Founder, CEO & Principle
Adlyn Walton is an experienced teacher and industry professional with five years training in acting and musical theatre from Italia Conti, East 15 and The Hammond. Shortly after graduating with a BA Hons in 2019, Adlyn starred in the third and final series of the critically acclaimed drama ‘Tin Star’ alongside Tim Roth.
During the pandemic in 2020, Adlyn established her own academy by offering free tuition, workshops and Q&A’s for unrepresented creatives across the globe. Walton Performing Arts Academy soon gained a strong client base ranging from actors, directors, writers, comics, up-and-coming performers, unrepresented talent and students. Award-winning professionals such as Kayas Irshad (Topboy, Fast & Furious 6, Blue Story) and Dan Horrigan (Critical Stage Award) among others, often collaborate with Adlyn to offer specialised tuition and opportunities for creative individuals worldwide.
Launching the Walton Performing Arts Academy gave Adlyn a newfound passion for teaching, alongside her work as an actor. Throughout 2021 and 2022, Adlyn began teaching youth theatre at secondary and primary schools across the UK to expose children and young people to theatrical opportunities and offer effective, yet affordable training for the stars of the future.
“Growing up, the idea of becoming a successful actor always seemed out-of-reach to those around me however, my ambition and hard work gave me the drive to achieve my dreams. I have been working as a professional within performing arts since I was a teen and have worked alongside some of the industry’s most influential alumni. My goal is to now give the next generation and those who have been struggling in the industry the break they need! Many of my past students have secured places at drama school, gained agency representation and are now working as professional actors/performers. I always go above and beyond to ensure my students feel heard, represented and valued regardless of gender, race, sexuality, religion, class or background. WPAA is an inclusive academy that prides itself in diversity and individuality amongst its students.”
Tajiyah Sulwana
Performing Arts Assistant
Tajiyah Sulwana recently graduated with a First Class Bachelor of Honours in Performance Making from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore. She is interested in the idea of evoking a sense of conversation about social and political issues through theatre and interdisciplinary performances. She enjoys pushing the limitations of what theatre is and how it can be pushed further.
Tajiyah is currently studying a MFA in Voice Studies at Royal Central School of Speech & Drama and aims to research further into the importance of voicework in theatre and unrepresented, minority communities.
ALUMNI
Jennifer Bulcock was one of the Walton Performing Arts Academy’s first success stories back in 2020. Since completing The Graduate Course, Jennifer works as a presenter for a social media advertising company, has starred in various independent projects including a horror film on Amazon Prime and has acted in and produced three of her own short films.
“WPAA offered the perfect tuition for my goals. I was new to the industry; seeking representation and Adlyn knew exactly what to do to support me. Adlyn’s feedback provided me with professional-standard footage for my first showreel which Adlyn then passed on to a respectable, UK talent agent. Within a few weeks, I had gained agency representation and was attending professional auditions. I cannot thank Adlyn enough for helping me take my first steps into the industry. This was best decision I ever made.”
WPAA’s principle, Adlyn Walton offers inclusive and diverse training for individuals seeking private tuition in acting and/or singing. Students will gain valuable training in audition / self-tape technique and acting for stage & screen to prepare them for their next steps in the industry, whether that be an upcoming audition, drama school or just to strengthen your skills.
Tuition can be delivered in person or virtually depending on availability, practicality, suitability and postcode.
WPAA is an inclusive academy. We are always seeking BAME, LGBTQ+ and SEN individuals to promote and encourage diversity within the arts.

“Adlyn and I collaborated on a new short course designed for playwrights at the start of their journey. She offered excellent support on selecting course content, marketing, administration and provided ongoing support for the writers and myself as course leader. The outcomes were good and everybody involved enjoyed the process. Adlyn’s course administration was exemplary and I have no hesitation in recommending her.”
